Amid a context of immense pain and shock, Aline Lorena, a mother whose autistic son was killed by his father in João Pessoa, spoke about this tragedy during her son's wake held on Monday. Visibly moved, she recounted that she could never envision her ex-partner committing such a heinous act.
Aline agreed to let father and son spend time together, believing it would benefit her child. She had arranged everything for their meeting, including clothes, food, and special instructions necessary due to Arthur's autism and need for extra care.
Mother's Heartfelt Words at Her 11-Year-Old Son's Funeral
The mother mentioned that Davi, the father, had expressed a desire to reconnect and asked for more time with the boy. "I made sure everything was perfect. The boy had eaten, I bathed him, and I wanted to stay longer, but he said, 'no, go ahead, I will take care of him, we need this bonding time,'" Aline shared tearfully.
Aline also recounted the lifelong struggle to support her son from his premature birth. "Arthur was an incredible child, born at 5 months, weighing only 800 grams. We fought our entire lives for him," she stated. She further remembered discussing with the father about the boy's special needs due to his visual impairment and autism.
Ex-Partner's Call Reporting the Son's Death
The devastating news of the death was conveyed to her via a phone call from Davi, who confessed to the crime and disclosed the location of the body. "It never crossed my mind what would happen," lamented the mother, who now seeks justice.
